Humboldt, IA – A new softball coach has been named for the Humboldt Wildcats softball program. Sheridan Zeka has spent the last six seasons at Southeast Valley and says the opportunity to coach in Humboldt is intriguing.
The hire was made official at Monday’s (Nov. 17) Humboldt Community School District school board meeting. Zeka was the head coach for six seasons at Southeast Valley with a record of 84-61 overall.
Zeka is a 2014 Ballard High School graduate and was a member of the school’s class 3A state championship in 2012. Zeka played softball at Iowa Wesleyan for four years as a third basemen.
She takes over the program from Humboldt alum Erica Post, who led the program for three seasons from 2023 to 2025.
