Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors received an update from the Humboldt County Planning and Zoning Board on the rough draft of an ordinance regarding wind energy in Humboldt County.
Chair of the Planning and Zoning Board Kevin Corday says the Board is in the third stage of the rough draft and would like to have a third party legal team look at the ordinance.
Cordray says the county’s insurance, Ahlers and Cooney, P.C., has recommended attorneys in other counties that have experince in similar ordinances.
Supervisor Chairman Rick Pedersen says after conversations with Humboldt County Attorney Jon Beatty, it would be wise to use the outside legal counsel.
The Board passed a motion to bring the idea forward to the county’s insurance to receive their recommendation on a firm to use for outside legal counsel.
