Monday morning gas leak in Gilmore City halts traffic, no injuries

Gilmore City, IA – A gas leak led to a road closure in Gilmore City Monday morning.

At 7:44 a.m., Humboldt County EMA Director Kyle Bissell told KHBT news that IA HWY 3 was blocked due to a gas leak at the transfer station at the quarry road and 330th Avenue. The road closure was in place until 9:16 a.m., as repairs were made allowing traffic to reopen on the route.

There were no injuries reported from the gas leak and the incident was not a threat to the public.
