
PART-TIME DISPATCHER
HUMBOLDT COUNTY 911 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
The Humboldt County Public Safety Commission has an immediate opening for the position of a Part-Time Dispatcher. This position consists of three (3) 10-hour shifts. The available shift is the night shift which is from 9:00pm to 7:00am.
This is a public service position, which requires the ability to think quickly, prioritize calls for service, maintain confidential information, to multi-task, and work under stressful conditions. It also requires an individual to communicate well with others, both verbally and in writing, who is a team player, can work with a diverse group of individuals, and take directions from others.
Starting pay is $23.19 per hour plus $0.35 per hour shift differential from 9:00pm – 7:00 am. Applicants with previous experience in dispatching would start at a higher rate. Employee will receive paid individual health insurance. Family coverage is available at a cost to the employee. Employee will accrue sick and vacation hours pro-rated based on hours worked.
