(NWS) – The National Weather Service (NWS) says a Red Flag Warning will be in effect Wenesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for critical fire weather conditions for a large swath of the state.
The Warning area includes all of central, north central, and south central Iowa. Winds out of the west ranging from 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph along with minimum relative humidity values of 12 to 22% are leading to the fire weather conditions.
The NWS says any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
