Humboldt, IA – Authorities say no one was hurt after a grease fire broke out Tuesday night at Hardee’s in Humboldt.
According to Humboldt County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Kyle Bissell, a call regarding the grease fire was received at approximately 8:20 p.m. at the Hardee’s location in Humboldt at 1203 Tenth Ave. N (Highway 3).
Five employees were inside the restaurant nearing closing time when the grease fire ignited and flames quickly spread through the building’s vent system and extended to the roof. The Humboldt Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the flames on the roof of the building and interior.
