Dakota City, IA – A Livermore man has been sentenced to 125 years in prison on sex abuse charges.
38-year-old Nathaniel Depew of Livermore was sentenced in Humboldt County District Court by District 2 Chief Judge Amy Moore to 125 years in prison following a guilty plea on three counts of Second Degree Sexual Abuse in Humboldt County and two counts of Second Degree Sexual Abuse in Pocahontas County.
The sentence stems from a report in May of 2025 of sexual abuse. Both Depew and 38-year-old Dixie Niles of Livermore were arrested on August 15, 2025 on the original charges of First Degree Kidnapping, a Class A Felony, three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Class B Felonies, and 12 counts of Child Endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors.
Depew received a sentence of 25 years for each count that must be served consecutively. 70% of the total sentence must be served before he is eligible for parole. He remains in custody at the Humboldt County Jail awaiting transport to prison.
Niles faces the original charges from the August 2025 arrest and is set to go on trial in June. She remains incarcerated at the Humboldt County Jail.
