Webster City, IA – The Iowa State Patrol has identified the two drivers who died following a wrong-way crash Wednesday on Highway 20 near Webster City.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 69-year-old Joseph Kennedy of Alden was driving a white pickup truck eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 20 shortly after noon Wednesday when it collided head-on with another vehicle near the Webster City exit. Kennedy died at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, 40-year-old Aaron Scott Gomez of Harlingen, Texas; was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
