Wind Turbine Ordinance Back on Agenda for Supervisors

Dakota City, Iowa — The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will once again work through the county’s proposed Wind Turbine ordinance this morning at the Humboldt County Courthouse.

County Attorney Jon Beaty will be on hand for the proceedings as well.

Talks of the ordinance had relatively stalled before the supervisors triggering more action over the last three weeks.

The board and Beaty will look to hammer out the finer details on the ordinance this morning and schedule a first reading for the ordinance.

Depending on the amount of public input, the supervisors could fast-track this by ultimately waiving the second and third readings.

However, county support — either way — on the matter has been strong.

The meeting this morning will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the County Courthouse.
