One Cited Following Thursday Accident

Humboldt, Iowa — A Yield Ahead and Curve Sign belonging to Humboldt County Secondary Roads were damaged following a single vehicle accident last Thursday.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year old Angela Halsne of Dakota City was driving eastbound on 1st Avenue North when she went off the road and struck the signs.

Halsne was given a sobriety test and was deemed under the influence of alcohol.

She was charged with failure to provide liability, OWI (2nd offense) and failure to maintain control.

The sign damage was estimated at $200.

Halsne, luckily, was uninjured in the wreck.
