Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat baseball team, losers of two straight, will look to right the ship at home tonight as they play host to Algona.
The Bulldogs, 11-11-1 on the year, are playing good ball of late winning two of their last three, narrowly losing to conference power Webster City 9-8 last week.
Algona is up 1-0 on the Wildcats in the season series after clubbing Humboldt 11-4 in a win at Algona back on June 6th.
Humboldt threw freshman Colby Clarken that game and with the way things have unfolded, Humboldt may be forced to deal ace Cade Witzke tonight in the pivotal must-win match.
Clarken was used out of the bullpen in Monday’s loss at Hampton-Dumont, but his availability is unknown for tonight’s contest.
Originally set to air on the Bolt tonight, tonight’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
KHBT will be airing Humboldt softball’s date with Algona.
