Humboldt, IA – No injuries after a deer crossing causes a two car incident on Highway 3.
According to a report filed on Friday July 3 by Deputy Matt Steil of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday June 26 Martha Krimilda Hernandez, 52, of Clarion and Macy Koob, 18, of Humboldt were east bond on Highway 3. As the two drivers continued east a deer crossed in front of the lead driver Hernandez. As she slowed down, Koob was unable to slow down in time resulting in the front end of her grey Chevrolet Tahoe hitting the rear pumper of Hernandez’s red Chevrolet Traverse.
The incident resulted in minor damages to both vehicles that were driven away from the scene. No injuries were reported by Deputy Steil as a result of the incident.
