Atlantic, IA – Humboldt High School wrestling finishes third and ten wrestler place during Rollin Dyer Invitational.
On Saturday, Jan. 9, the Wildcats traveled Atlantic to participate in their annual tournament. In total there were 16 teams present for the competition.
As a team Humboldt finished third with 171 points. They were just three points behind NH/TV in second (174 points) and five points behind Rollin Dyer Invitational team champions, Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
10 of Humboldt’s eleven wrestlers placed in the top eight:
- 106 – Jayden Gargano – third
- 113 – Dylan Vaudt – second
- 120 – DJ Muir – sixth
- 126 – Jase Goodell – third
- 132 – Ty Gargano – first
- 138 – Colby Clarken – second
- 145 – Joe Weydert – fifth
- 152 – Jordan Jensen – eighth
- 160 – Fletcher Satern – second
- 220 – Colten Goodell – third
Humboldt wrestling’s next competition will be on Thursday, Jan. 14. It will be a North Central Conference triangular hosted by Iowa Falls-Alden that will also feature Webster City. The action is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.
