Humboldt, IA – The 2020 Roadway System Maintenance Project in Humboldt will be resuming.
City Administrator Travis Goedken says that Blacktop Service Company will begin the spring portion of the project “very soon.” In addition to the work still left on the contract, the city was able to identify a few areas to include based on current condition.
The biggest area the city administrator says is on 5th Street South where it loops around back to Taft Street. While he says this is a “fairly low traffic volume” area, it is “a little bit better than a gravel road” in its current condition. There are also a few sinking man holes the city will address.
The 2020 Roadway System Maintenance Project began in the fall of 2020 before a scheduled winter season pause.
