Fort Dodge Sinclair Station burglarized, suspect remains at large

Fort Dodge, IA – On Wednesday, Oct. 26 at approximately 8:34 p.m., the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call of a robbery that had just occurred at the Sinclair Station, 315 2nd Ave S in Fort Dodge. The caller indicated that an individual entered the store
and presented a firearm.

When Officers arrived on scene, they searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone. It was determined that the suspect entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of money after displaying a handgun. The suspect is said to have fled the scene east on foot. No injuries were reported in this incident.

The suspect is described as a male, standing approximately 5’6” tall, wearing a blue coat, black hat, and black face covering. The Fort Dodge Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and encourage anyone who may have information to contact police immediately. Anyone who may have video surveillance of the area around this time, is encouraged to contact law enforcement. Information may also be submitted anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
