Livermore, IA – The City of Livermore held their mayoral special election Tuesday to fill the position after former mayor Seana Bolen resigned on Jan. 4.
The unofficial results tabulated reveal Billie E. Scott Jr. as the winner of the mayoral race with 42 votes cast. Scott is a retired farmer who serves on the Board of Adjustment. Current Mayor pro-tem Paul Brown was runner-up in the race with 24 votes and Justin Sorenson was third with 10 votes.
An additional vote cast as a write-in. There were a total of 77 votes cast in the election with polling having taking place in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Livermore .
