Algona, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats boys golf team placed third in the 2023 North Central Conference (NCC) Tournament at Spring Valley Golf course Monday.
Clear Lake took the top spot with a score of 310, followed by Hampton-Dumont-CAL at 313 and Humboldt at 315. Webster City was in fourth at 327, Algona in sixth with a 343, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows in seventh at 348, and St. Edmond in eighth at 354.
Jayden Gargano was the meet medalist with a score of 72, edging out Tommy Birdsell from Hampton-Dumont-CAL at 73 in second. St. Edmond’s Caleb Schaeffer was tied for seventh with 77 and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows’ Cale Kirstein was tied for ninth with Humboldt’s Carson Sleiter, both with 78.
