Fort Dodge, IA – A judge is set to rule Friday on whether a Webster County man found guilty of multiple sex crimes involving a child will get a new trial.

32-year-old Jordan Webb was found guilty of Sex Abuse in the 2nd Degree, Child Endangerment and another sex related charge in April of this year.

Webb, a former church missionary living in Webster County, was to be sentenced this week, but a motion to have a new trial was submitted by his attorney Dean Stowers. The motion says victim statements made to a medical professional should not have been allowed at trial because the victim did not testify.

A hearing on the motion is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
