Whittemore, IA – Two Whittemore men were arrested Sunday on charges stemming from an incident Sunday night.
According to a press release from the Kossuth County Sheriff’s office, 29-year-old Lance Peck of Whittemore was charged with Public Intoxication, Trespass, and Burglary in the 3rd Degree. 31-year-old Patrick Prentice of Whittemore, was charged with Public Intoxication.
The incident began when a call was received at 7:04 in the evening Sunday from a resident on Kossuth Street in Whittemore of a man banging on a door and attempting to get into a residence. The caller advised there were two males and that one of the males was bloody and may have a knife in his possession.
Kossuth County Deputies responded to the scene and requested assistance from the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and the Algona Police Department. Whittemore and Algona EMS was paged to stand by near the location.
Peck was transported to the Kossuth Regional Health Center to be cleared medically before being booked into jail.
