Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors received an update from Jacobson-Westergard & Associates, the land surveying company with the county, on the contract for tile improvements in Drainage District No. 103 Humboldt County that has been satisfactorily completed. The work included tile improvements and road ditch regrading.
The work had been done by B&B Farm Drainage of Wallingford, Iowa; with the final contract amount coming in an amount $3,000 – $4,000 dollars lower than the allotment budget for. The contract was originally scheduled for completion on April 14 of this year, but due to delays the work was not completed until May 19.
The portion of the project located in crop fields was completed in advance of field work and was assessed for no damages against the contractor for later completion date. The one-year warranty period also began today with the acceptance of the work by the Board of Supervisors. If any damages were left out, it is recommended that claims be filed with the Humboldt County Auditor’s office.
