Humboldt, IA – A Humboldt man was arrested after being found in a residence he had no permission being in.

62-year-old William Morehead of Humboldt was arrested Thursday morning at approximately 5:33 a.m. in an incident that stems from July 29 when a resident at Scandia Apartments in Humboldt was on vacation and noticed Morehead through cameras in the residence after not receiving permission to do so.

Once returning from vacation, the resident contacted the Humboldt Police Department and turned over evidence to authorities. An arrest warrant was signed Wednesday before Officer Amber Williams with the department found Morehead Thursday morning outside the complex where he was arrested and taken into custody at the Humboldt County Jail on the charge of third degree burglary.

After Morehead was booked, he was released on a bond of $5,000 cash, surety or 10 percent.
