Humboldt County Supervisors hold FY 24-25 Budget Hearing

Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on the 2024-25 FY Budget at this week’s session Monday morning.
The tax levy on property by the county will be at $8.2 million for the county, which is a 9.9 percent increase from last year.

Humboldt County Auditor Trish Erickson provided reasons for the increase in the property tax levy for the county when asked during the public input portion of the hearing.

 

Service area budgets include Public Safety and Legal Services at $4 million, Physical Health and Social Services at $475,000, County Environmental and Education at $1 million, Road and Transportation at $4.5 million, Governmental Services to residents at $608,000 and Administration at $2.5 million.
