(KHBT) – After a prolonged stretch of extreme heat Monday, the National Weather Service says a potential for severe weather and excessive rainfall is in the forecast for the early portion of the week.
The latest briefing from the agency calls for a marginal to slight risk of severe weather in the KHBT area Monday and a marginal risk Tuesday. The timing of any possible weather Monday is between 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. and in the afternoon Tuesday.
Multiple days of heavy rainfall are in the forecast with the weather service stating there is a 50-80 percent chance of two or more inches accumulated through the early portion of the week.
