Lazy J Ranch Golf Tournament & Silent Auction will be Sat. June 17th at the Eagle Grove Golf Course. It is a 4 person Best Shot 9 holes with a Shotgun Start at 10am. Register at the Golf Course, price is $120.00/4 person team with a cash payout. There will be contests, prizes at each hole, 50/50 auction and a silent auction. Come out and enjoy the day “Fore” the animals. All Proceeds Benefit Lazy J Rescue Ranch.

St. Mary’s Flower Garden Walk will be Thursday June 29th from 5-8pm. Registration is in the St. Mary’s School parking lot-306 N. 3rd St. $10 per person, kids 12 and under are free. They will tour 9 gardens in the Humboldt and Dakota City area. Light refreshments will be available

2nd Annual Veterans BBQ will be Saturday, June 24th at the Terry Moehnke Veterans Memorial Park in Fort Dodge from 10am – 2pm. We invite all Veterans, Armed Forces members, and families for a gathering in recognition of their brave service. Free food, drinks, and fun for the whole family.

Iowa Harness races Monday July 3rd & Tuesday July 4th, post time will be 12:30pm at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds. There is not a charge to get into the races, but if you would like a program with the pick a winner cards it will be $5. There will be prizes given out for 2 or 3 of the winning cards for each race.

The 2023 Iowa Bible Reading Marathon will be July 4th from 8 am – noon at the Humboldt County Courthouse. They will be reading from Genesis to Revelations individuals of all ages are welcome.

Humboldt Veterans Memorial Fundraiser July 4th from 5-7pm at the Parley Finch Plaza Downtown on Sumner Avenue in Humbolt. They will be serving Grilled burgers, chips & a drink for a Free Will Donation with proceeds going to the Humboldt Veteran’s Memorial Park Project.
