Humboldt Sno-Skimmers are having their membership supper Friday Nov. 10, at River Valley Orchards. Social hour begins at 6pm with the meal served at 7pm. The meal is $20/plate for adults and $10 for kids under 12. There will be raffles and drawings for those who attend the supper. For more information contact Shane Braby at 515-890-1945.

The 4th Annual Larry Sorensen Memorial Blood Drive will be on Fri. Nov. 17th from 1pm-6pm at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Saturday November 18th at 3pm the Humboldt Rec. Center will be having a Turkey Shoot for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade divisions, one parent or guardian must compete as a pair. Entry Fee is 2 non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Humboldt Food Bank per pair. Humboldt Hy-Vee and Fareway have donated turkeys & pies to award winners of each division.

The 2nd Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will be Nov. 23rd, at the Humboldt Rec. Center. Registration will begin at 8am. The race starts at 9am. The entry fee is $30for adult, $15 for 10 and under, Free for under 5yr. Race packets will be sent out by 11/20/23. Bring your family and friends for a fun time before celebrating Thanksgiving!

Kiwanis Christmasland prepares to open for their 41st year this Holiday season, Friday November 24th and go through December 24th. They have new displays to see both inside and out. Christmasland is Located 1 block south and ½ block east of the Humboldt County Law Enforcement Center for the hours of the Kiwanis Christmasland go to KHBT website or Facebook page. Please help spread the word. The Humboldt Community Angel Tree Tags are available and ready to be sponsored! The tags can be picked up at Farm Bureau or Red Power in Humboldt. Please make sure you fill in your name and contact information on the white index card and leave it when you choose a tag. Gifts need to be returned back by December 4th UNWRAPPED, but labeled with the family/child number from the tag.

The Humboldt-Dakota City Kiwanis Club will be hosting their Annual Spaghetti Supper with garlic bread, on December 4th, serving will be from 5-7pm at Zion Lutheran Church. Drive up ONLY. Please enter from the South and exit to the North in the West parking lot. Ticket prices are $12 and tickets may be purchased from any Kiwanis Member, Hair Studio 706, and Humboldt Engraving and Gifts The Biz. The Proceeds from this event will go to help families and children of the community. As always, we greatly appreciate YOUR SUPPORT.
