The Eagle Grove Chamber and its members are hosting a Ladies’ Day Out on Saturday, April 30^th from 10am to 3pm starting at Memorial Hall.  Activities include a brunch and browse, shop hop, and vendor fair.  There is a limited number of May Basket Goodie Bags available to participants for $20, which includes snacks, beverage, a raffle ticket, swag and a gift for hitting all locations on the shop hop.  For tickets, contact Sara Middleton at the Chamber, or visit their website at chamber at eagle grove dot com.

Marine Corps Mid-Iowa Detachment’s Annual Steak Fry Scholarship Fundraiser – will be Sunday May 1, 2022, at the VFW Post in Fort Dodge from 4:30pm to 7 pm.  Tickets are $15 per person, kids under 12 eat for free (Hot dog and chips).

Friday, May 13—GILMORE CITY-BRADGATE COLOR RUN – Registration and Silent Auction is at 4:30pm, Senior Stroll is 4:00 – 4:30 pm and Race begins at 5:30 pm.  Spring is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than to participate in GC-B’s annual Color Run.  Prior to the start of the event, a senior stroll will take place with participants blasted with bubbles.  During registration, participants can bid on items donated by parents and local community members to benefit summer programming at the daycare.  The Color Run is a family event.  Plan to get messy!  Visit gcbschools.org to register.

There will be a Craft Fair from 8:00am – 1:00pm Saturday May 14th at the Badger Public Library, in Badger Iowa.

The Renwick Fire Department is hosting Donkey Daze on June 4^th with music from The Kraft Brothers from 5-8pm.   Stay for the Live Auction and Riddled with Class preforming from 9pm-12am.   The cost is 10 per person to get into the party so mark your calendar for June 4^th for Donkey Daze in downtown Renwick, all proceeds benefitting the Renwick Fire Department, Inc.

“Busy Work” : Women’s Hand Crafts of the 1800s – Hand Quilting Class Saturday June 11th from 10am -12pm.  Register for this fun class all about Hand Quilting! Guest instructor Master Quilter Janice Olson will talk about the history of Hand Quilting as well as demonstrate how to hand quilt blocks.  Registration fee is $5.00 for adults over 18, children 9-18 are FREE, to register go to www.humboldtcohm.org to the “Events” or in person during regular business hours.  The class will be held in the Clancy Classroom in the Humboldt County Historical Museum in Dakota City.

The Gilmore City Fire Department is hosting lunch for the Hometown Hero’s Memorial Ride Saturday 06/18/2022 from 11am to 1pm,  serving steak sandwich, baked beans, chips, bars and a drink with a free koozie for only $15.00.  Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a fabulous lunch from 11am – 1pm at the Gilmore City Fire Station.  T-shirts will be available for sale at the Fire Station from 11-1pm.
