Immerse yourself in the world of clay as you embark on a journey to create a unique and functional hanging plant holder. This hands-on class is designed for both beginners and experienced clay enthusiasts who want to craft a beautiful and functional piece of art for their homes.

This is a fun class for any ages! All materials are included. By the end of this clay class, you’ll not only have a stunning hanging plant holder but also a newfound appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship involved in working with clay. Join us in creating functional art that adds both beauty and greenery to your living space!

Humboldt County Pheasants Forever 2024 15th Annual Coyote Hunt & Raccoon Roundup

Humboldt County Pheasants Forever 15th Annual Coyote Hunt/Raccoon Roundup with gun Raffle will be Saturday February 3rd.  The Coyote/Raccoon drop off will be at 4pm, 6:30pm attend a Free Will donation meal sponsored by Humboldt County Pheasants Forever Committee at Humboldt Fairgrounds.  Raffle will be following the meal with 22 Guns being drawn worth over $11,000.  Raffle Tickets are 1 for $20 or 6 for $100 sign up now.   Registration will be Friday February 2nd from 6pm–9pm, at Amigo’s, Blue Moose, Dom’s Cafe, Enduring Freedom, Flipside, Knotty Pine, Knuckleheads, Nuts Landing, Peps, and Red Lantern.     For further Information contact:  Dave Erdman at (515) 341-6477.

Cancer Benefit For Tonya Bockoven-Hicks

A Cancer Benefit for Tonya Bockoven-Hicks will be Sat. Feb. 3rd from 5-7:30pm at Rides Bar & Grill in Fort Dodge, Ia.  There will be a Free Will Donation Meal and a Silent Auction.  Tonya was diagnosed with Lymphocytic Leukemia and is currently undergoing chemo treatments.  Please come and show up in her time of need.  Donations or more information call Ashley Kuker 515-571-7203.

Humboldt Lions Club Annual Chili/Soup Supper

The Lions Club Annual Chili/Soup Supper will be on Friday, February 9th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. It is Dine-in or Carry Out.  Purchase tickets through a Humboldt Lions Member or at the door. Tickets are $10.00/person or $5 for under 12yrs. old.

Proceeds from the event will be going to the Humboldt Food Pantry.

Humboldt County Democrats Food Pantry – Food Drive

Help Replenish the Local Food Pantry:

Humboldt County Democrats will hold a food drive to support the Humboldt County Food Pantry on Saturday, February 10, at the Fareway Meat and Grocery Store, Highway 3 West, Humboldt from  8 a.m. – 7 p.m. . Shoppers are invited to donate non-perishable items or money.

Food items most needed: peanut butter, jelly, cereal, oatmeal, syrup, pancake mix, soup, crackers.
Non-food items most needed: shampoo, body wash, deodorant, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, all purpose cleaner.

The Humboldt County Food Pantry is operated by Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO).  UDMO also welcomes cash donations which they will use to by food in bulk.  If you can’t make it to the food drive, you may make a monetary donation.  Make checks out to the Humboldt County Food Pantry. Drop off or mail your donations to UDMO Humboldt Outreach, 419 Sumner Ave, Humboldt, IA 50548.

Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry

The St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus will be holding a Lenten Fish Fry each Friday night until March 22nd from 5-7pm or until sold out.   Dine in will be in the St. Mary gym and drive-up will be available on the North side.  $13 for adults and $8 for children.
