The Humboldt-Dakota City Kiwanis Club will be hosting their Annual Spaghetti Supper with garlic bread, serving begins at 5pm thru 7pm at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.  DRIVE UP ONLY! Please enter from the North and Exit to the South.  Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  Tickets may be purchased from any of the following:  Northwest Bank, Bank Iowa, and First State Bank.  As always, we greatly appreciate YOUR SUPPORT!

Walk amongst the trees this year at the Annual Christmas Tree Walk in the Historic Hardy Church!  Admission is a free will donation to the Humboldt County Historical Museum.  The dates and times it will be open are as follows:

December 9th – 11th   5-8pm
December 16th  5-8pm
December 18th    5-8pm

2022 Tour of Homes brought to you by the Humboldt Area Arts Council will be Saturday, Dec. 10^th from 2-5pm, with activities at Art Center till 7pm.  Get your tickets at the Humboldt Arts center the day of the event, cost is $20 (one adult beverage included)

Saturday December 17^th 1-4pm or 5– 8pm, find out how the Browns celebrated Christmas Eve!  Visitors can partake in a coloring contest and a story of “The Night Before Christmas” at 2pm, then meet Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus and more!  The Historic Hardy Church will also be open for visitors to see the Christmas Trees and enjoy Christmas goodies in the church basement.  Admission:  Free Will Donation for the Museum.

Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt will be having a Christmas Dinner on Sunday December 25 from 11:30 – 1:00 dine in or take out.  The meal will be Turkey, pork loin, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, cranberry relish, and desserts.  This will be a Free Will donation, to sign up call the church office 515-332-2083 by Dec. 21^st.

Mobile Food Bank Drive Thru will be at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds on Wednesday January 11^th, 2023, serving from 4:30 -6:00pm or until food is gone.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Humboldt County Democrats will hold a food drive to support the Humboldt County Food Pantry Monday, January 16.

Food drive collection will be 8am – 7pm at the Fareway Grocery Store in Humboldt.  Shoppers are invited to donate non-perishable items.

Non-food items needed:  shampoo, body wash, deodorant, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, all purpose cleaner.
Food items MOST needed:  canned fruit, canned meat, jelly/jam, syrup, pancake mix.

The Humboldt County Food Pantry is operated by Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc.(UDMO).  Cash donations will also be welcomed.  100% of donations will go to the food pantry.

If you can’t make it to the food drive, you may make a monetary donation to the Humboldt Ministerial Association write “Food Pantry” in the memo.  Mail your donations to Humboldt Ministerial Association, PO Box 40, Humboldt IA 5548.

Humboldt County Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 19th Annual Founder’s Event will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Social Hour plus a sit-down dinner and cash bar starts at 6pm with the Feature Entertainment Song Blast -Dueling Guitarist, Glen & Pat delivers, laughter, participation, interaction, comedy, charm, mischief, energy and rock. With such a great show planned you will wonder if they are comedians or musicians. Get your tickets now, General admission is $50 per person or reserved seating at $60 per person. Saint Mary’s Catholic School would like to invite you to their Early Childhood Open House on Tuesday, January 31^st.  From 3:30- 5:30pm come tour the classrooms, meet the teachers, and gather enrollment Information, then at 5:30pm a short informational parent meeting on financial aid and how to enroll your child.  If your child is Pre School, PreK, or Kindergarten make time to come this Open House.
