“Little Town on the Prairie”: Pioneer Program
This program is the third in the “Little Town on the Prairie” Towns of Humboldt County Program series. Explore the history of Pioneer and the people who created the town. Sunday, June 4th at 2:00pm in the Clancy Classroom, at the Humboldt Co Historical Museum. Admission: $5.00 for adults over 18 and children 18 and under are free.

Livermore Truck Pulls 2023 will be Friday July 14th, at 6pm, pits open at 5pm. Located on the East side of Gold Eagle Coop, admission is free for spectators $20 per hook for pullers, food is available from the Humboldt County Cattlemen’s and all proceeds will go to support the Livermore Fire Department.

The Sons of the American Legion Post #415 are having a porkchop supper from 5-7pm at the legion on Sat. July 15th during Livermore Daze. The meal includes a pork chop, baked potato, baked beans & a scotcharoo bar. The Cost is $12.00 per person.

3rd Annual Rescue Ranch Rendezvous :Open Visit Day and Yard Game Tournament!
Open visit day details:
– 10:30 am – 4:00 pm
– $10 per person suggested donation (ages 2 and under free),
– meet and hang out with the animals,
– learn their rescue stories,
– check out Lazy J merch,
– win tons of door/raffle prizes from our generous local supporters,
– participate in a 50/50 raffle,
– enjoy a freewill Peanut Butter & Jelly bar beginning at 12:30 for visitors (while supplies last),
– hang out in the kid’s zone (free play yard games, coloring contest to win a party at the ranch, bounce house, & an all ages craft by Studio Sol Gallery & Creative Space),
– and cheer on the yard game tournament participants!
Yard game tournament details:
– 9:30: Team Check-In Opens, 10:00: Team Rules Meeting, 10:30: Tournament Begins,
– $50 per 2 person team (message Lazy J Rescue Ranch to reserve 1 of 8 spots),
– 4-8 of your favorite games (Bags, Ladderball, Washers, Kan Jam, Oversized (not beer) Pong, Disc Golf),
– tournament brackets set up for teams to compete for CASH & swag prizes,
– free Peanuts Butter & Jelly bar @ noon,
– and of course all the perks of the open visit day!
Water will be available for purchase but feel free to BYOB (can receptacles will be available and all can funds will also benefit Lazy J Rescue Ranch). All proceeds go directly towards specialized, nutritious diets for each animal, quality vet care, animal enrichment activities, safe shelter, rescue expenses, and upcoming projects. Lazy J Rescue Ranch is currently working on improving barn roofs and siding to increase winter warmth, building additional stalls to allow space for future rescues, constructing a bird run for added protection, and more!

Join us for the ultimate showdown between ISU and IA for a fun charity slow pitch game with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation – Humboldt County. Our mission is simple – raise $300,000 to guarantee FOREVER one wish per year for a Humboldt County child. This is truly a one-time donation that will last a lifetime – with all the money staying RIGHT HERE in Humboldt County.
* Gates will open at 5PM at the Humboldt High School Softball Field (no early admissions allowed or reserved seats)
* Price To Enter is: $10/person
There will be a meal available for purchase including: burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookie and water. As well as concessions available for snacks, pop and candy!
We will also have activities prior to the game (which starts at 7PM) including:
* Homerun Derby Contest ($5 for 5 balls)
* Autograph Line ($5 to get all your favorite players autographs)
