A Cancer Benefit for Tonya Bockoven-Hicks will be Sat. Feb. 3rd from 5-7:30pm at Rides Bar & Grill in Fort Dodge, Ia. There will be a Free Will Donation Meal and a Silent Auction. The Lions Club Annual Chili/Soup Supper will be on Friday, February 9th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. It is Dine-in or Carry Out. Purchase tickets through a Humboldt Lions Member or at the door. Tickets are $10.00/person or $5 for under 12yrs. old.
Proceeds from the event will be going to the Humboldt Food Pantry.
Humboldt Community Chorus Presents “Music…a timeless treasure” on Friday, Feb. 9th at7pm, Sat. Feb. 10th at 2 pm, then on Sunday Feb. 11th at 2pm. It will be at the R. Help Replenish the Local Food Pantry:
Humboldt County Democrats will hold a food drive to support the Humboldt County Food Pantry on Saturday, February 10, at the Fareway Meat and Grocery Store, Highway 3 West, Humboldt from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. . Shoppers are invited to donate non-perishable items or money.
Food items most needed: peanut butter, jelly, cereal, oatmeal, syrup, pancake mix, soup, crackers.
Non-food items most needed: shampoo, body wash, deodorant, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, all purpose cleaner.
The Humboldt County Food Pantry is operated by Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc. (UDMO). UDMO also welcomes cash donations which they will use to by food in bulk. If you can’t make it to the food drive, you may make a monetary donation. Make checks out to the Humboldt County Food Pantry.
