The Todd Becker Foundation, a nationally recognized high school assembly group, announced that they are bringing their presentation, “Hear the Story. Be Moved.” to Algona High School on April 3rd, 2024. The event is free and open to the public. The doors will open at 5:40pm and the event will start at 6:00pm. The night will feature a live concert from the band “All the Noise”, followed by an impactful and life-changing message from Keith Becker.
About the Todd Becker Foundation: Started in Kearney, NE, the Todd Becker Foundation was created in the spring of 2005 following the tragic death of 18-year old High School student, Todd Becker, in an alcohol-related car accident. Keith, who was the older brother of Todd Becker, unfolds the true, and life-changing story of his younger brother’s untimely death and the events shortly thereafter that changed his own life. Since 2005, the Todd Becker Foundation’s assembly and outreach program has reached close to 100,000 students in over 500 high schools across the nation.

The 12th Annual Meals from the Heartland Event in Humboldt County will be held on Friday, March 15th for Students, and Saturday, March 16th for the community at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Fellowship Hall. The Webster County Chapter of Pheasants Forever 39th Annual Banquet will be held on Saturday March 23rd at the Webster County Fairgrounds south of Fort Dodge. Doors open at 4:30pm with a Buffet dinner catered by Lidderdale Country Store, Lidderdale, IA at 6:15pm. Numerous games and Raffles, including a youth & ladies Raffle table, plus Live and Silent Auctions are planned. The Annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday March 30th at 10am at the Humboldt High School Football Field. The rain location will be the Humboldt Multipurpose training facility. There will be three age categories: Pre-school(parents may assist), Kindergarten and 1st graders, then 2nd & 3rd graders. Participants in each age category will have a chance to win a large Easter basket with games and prizes and a free bicycle! There will also be many free prizes from local merchants and lots of candy. Come see the Easter Bunny and enjoy the egg hunt, courtesy of the Humboldt-Dakota City Kiwanis!
