Mobile Food Bank Drive Thru at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds will be Wednesday May 8^th, 2024, from 4:30 -6:00pm or until food is gone.  Please tell your neighbors, everyone is welcome.

Livermore Test and Tune Truck Pull 2024 will be Saturday, May 11^th @ 1pm.  Located on the East side of the Gold Eagle Coop in Livermore.  Pits open @ noon, $ 20 per hook, Free admission for spectators.  All Trucks, All Classes, All Associations Welcome, proceeds go to support the Livermore Fire Department.

The Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa has been selected for a June Challenge Grant.  If they exceed last June’s adoption total of 29, they will receive $1000, If they are in the top 5 grantees they will receive 10,000.  During the Month of June hours have been extended Wed- 12p – 6pm, Thurs, & Fri. – 1-7pm, Sat. & Sun, – 11am – 4pm.  Then on June 12^th they will be having a 12 hour all fees waived – with approved application- adoption event from 9am – 9pm.  See our website page or www.almosthomeiowa.org  for more information.

The Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa has received a small grant to create the Purr-A -Dise Project an “open air” cat visitation and adoption space that will allow cats to roam free, inside and out.  This will start as soon as the additional funds have been raised and the volunteers are in place.  A regional Foundation has agreed to match every dollar donated up to $3000 and volunteers are also needed for a variety of tasks from cleaning and sanitizing to helping design the project and lending their knowledge & sweat to the project.
