Bancroft, IA — This past Friday Kossuth County Police were called onto the scene of a residence in Bancroft where three individuals were found to be dead.
With investigation and autopsies completed, according to Brian Wilson of KLGA in Algona, it was found the cause of death in the incident was a double murder-suicide. 30 year old Austin James Bernhard was responsible for the deaths of 22 year old Mason Alrik Cederwall and 30 year old Amy Lynn Manna. It was determined by the investigation that Bernhard was Manna’s ex-boyfriend and that he had been recently arrested on assault and burglary charges on July 4th involving Cederwall and Manna.
All three people involved were residents of Bancroft with the house where the incident happened being owned by Manna.
