Des Moines, Iowa – Yesterday was the opening round of the Class 2A Individual State Wrestling Tournament and Humboldt’s Gus Arnold, Joey Busse, Creston Craven and Jaden Kampen were all in action.
Unfortunately, it was only Kampen who would get the opportunity to wrestle today (Friday).
Arnold, Busse and Craven were all defeated in their first two matches to effectively end their 2016-17 seasons.
Busse’s last loss came in overtime.
Kampen, down 4-2 in his match earned a pin to take the victory and afforded him the opportunity to wrestle again this afternoon.
Busse finishes his season 41-10, Craven at 35-13 and Arnold at 34-8.
