Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat girls’ golf team — fresh off a State Championship — has started their 2018 season with a bang.
Yesterday, the Wildcats picked up yet another team victory, a dual meet over Emmetsburg, 205-223.
Frances Carlson was the meet medalist shooting a 46. Maggie Bennett was the runner-up shooting an even 50.
The dual was originally supposed to take place in Emmetsburg, however their course was deemed not ready to play yet.
The dual was changed late Monday morning to be played at the Humboldt Country Club.
The JV girls’ golf team earned a victory as well. Addison Birdsell was the JV medalist, according to head coach Jessica Harklau.
