Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors have named Ben Loots as the full-time County Engineer, per the recommendation of Bruce Reimers and Rick Pedersen.
Reimers and Pedersen were tasked with bringing the recommendations back to the board.
Loots took over late in 2017 following the board’s decision to not renew the contract of 17-year veteran of the position, Paul Jacobson.
The board has yet to formally announce the contract length and salary terms, however they did ask County Attorney Jon Beaty to come up with an agreement for both sides.
