Humboldt, Iowa — The Nokomis Woodworking Club will be holding a public open house next week for the community to come in and tour the shop’s layout and features.

Also, the day will act as a membership drive.

Nokomis Woodworking Club member Dean Clasen says the open house is “intended to show the public the facilities that are available and also to promote woodworking classes that we plan to start in November.”

According to the official Nokomis Facebook Page, the purpose of the woodworking club is to: share woodworking techniques, knowledge and skills among members and with the public; provide a safe working environment for members and provide access to equipment and space that its members may not enjoy in their home shops.

The open house will be held at their main shop, located on 610 N. Street in Humboldt.

The event will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
