Dakota City Trestle Intact After Semi Scrapes It

Dakota City, Iowa — A Nebraska man was cited following a Monday accident where the Dakota City trail trestle was scraped with a semi.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Tim Fisher, 24-year old Adam Moore of Elm Creek, Nebraska was driving a semi for Stengel Trucking when he struck the trestle.

The semi was eastbound on 1st Avenue North when the trailer struck the trestle.

According to the report there are signs west of the trestle indicating the 12 foot height barrier of the trestle.

Moore was charged with Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the accident.
