Supervisors Hear Another Budget Request

Dakota City, Iowa — The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors heard another funding request, this time from Community and Family Resources, at their meeting on Monday.

Michelle De la Riva, Executive Director of Community & Family Resources was present to give the Board an update on their services, the new building and to request funding for FY2019-2020.

CFR broke ground on a new central campus in October of 2018, which will consolidate all three of CFR’s Fort Dodge locations.

Community and Family Resources is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency that offers a wide range of substance use,
mental health, and gambling disorder treatment and prevention services.

In addition to serving Humboldt County CFR also aids  Boone, Calhoun, Franklin, Hamilton, Hardin,  Pocahontas, Story, Webster, and Wright counties.

The budget request will be taken under consideration as the Board prepares the budget.

Counties and cities alike have until March 15th to submit their budget to the state.
