Iowa City, Iowa — Iowa gas prices are on the rise again. Rose White, spokeswoman for AAA Iowa, says “when the demand increases, so does the pump price.” Rose says Iowans can expect to pay $2.73 per gallon on average for gas in May, which is up about 15 cents from April.
Iowa is still cheaper than the national average of $2.84.
Nearby Ames has the most expensive gas in the state of Iowa at $2.82.
