Humboldt, Iowa — The Humboldt County Fairgrounds will celebrate Davis Dairy Day this week.

According to iowadairy.org, “what once started out as a local elementary classroom visiting a dairy farm has grown to include nearly 500 students from area schools.” Students will have the opportunity to learn about many aspects of the agriculture industry.

“The average person is three to four generations removed from the farm,” says Midwest Dairy Farmer Relations Manager Jenna Finch. Davis Dairy Day “provides a platform for people to connect to the farm.” Finch says if anyone has any questions about dairy farming, or agriculture in general, “this is a great place to have those questions answered and see first hand what happens on a farm and interact with farmers and animals.”

This event will be held Friday, May 3rd, from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M.
