Des Moines, Iowa — Senator Jodi Ernst (R-IA) is reintroducing legislation this week that aims to improve transparency and strengthen the voices of Iowa’s small businesses in the federal rule making process.
Ernst says “too often regulators in Washington don’t fully consider how the rules and regulations of the court” impact small businesses. The bill being proposed will give Iowa businesses the opportunity to “send agencies back to the drawing board to prove” the proposals won’t hurt small businesses.
The Prove It Act allows the Office of Advocacy to submit a request, which would be published in the Federal Register to ensure transparency.
