Iowans can help Stamp Out Hunger this weekend.
National Stamp Out Hunger Day is this Saturday. U.S. Postal Carriers will be picking up non-perishable food items to help support local food pantries. Webster City postmaster Harley Tapper says there will be a “bag you can put your [food] in, put it out by the mailbox” and postal carriers will pick it up.
In 2018, the food drive nationwide brought in more than 71 million pounds of donated goods.
