Ames, Iowa — More cold weather and rain on the way for Humboldt and surrounding counties.
Meteorologist Dennis Todey, director of the USDA’s Midwest Climate Hub in Ames says the long-range forecast models don’t show much change in precipitation throughout May. Todey says in the next couple weeks, Northern Iowa will “have below-average temperatures again,” and there won’t be much progress made on warming up soils.
