Humboldt, IA — A 27-year old woman is experiencing suspected serious injuries after her car overturned Wednesday morning.
Griffin Ferguson, of Humboldt, was traveling northbound on Birch Avenue in Humboldt when she lost control of her 2004 Toyota Avalon and negotiated a curve on the left side of the road. This caused her vehicle to run off the road and overturn.
The police report from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office says Ferguson does not remember what caused her to lose control of her car. The surface conditions of the road were wet and the road was not lit.
She was transported to Palo Alto Regional Hospital, under the suspicion of serious or incapacitating injuries.
Ferguson’s car was totaled in the accident and no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The police report does not state whether any citations were issued to Ferguson at the time of the accident.
