Taurus Strikes Taurus Tuesday, Cites Sleet

Humboldt, IA — No injuries are reported after a car slid through a stop sign Tuesday night.

According to a police report from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Benjamin Edge, 29 from Humboldt, was driving his 2010 Ford Taurus northbound on 9th Street North in Humboldt Tuesday when a 2001 Ford Taurus, driven by a minor from Livermore, slid through the intersection and struck Edge’s vehicle on the front passenger side.

The roadway was slick due to a small amount of snow. The minor was charged with driving too fast for conditions.

The accident caused approximately $700 in damage to Edge’s car, which was able to be driven away from the scene.
