Humboldt, IA — Pasquale’s frozen pizza is having their grand opening tonight.

A ribbon cutting ceremony and tours will be held from 5 to 7 at their new building on Sumner Avenue in downtown Humboldt, also known as the former Fareway store.

Pasquale’s Restaurant will remain at its Highway 169 location. Only the frozen pizza operation will be moving. Dave Stockdale, who co-owns Pasquale’s with his wife Pam, said they outgrew their space. Currently operating in 4,800 square feet, they will now have 16,000 square feet.

With that space, Stockdale says he hopes Pasquale’s “will continue to grow.”

Pasquale’s began in Fort Dodge in 1959 with brothers Mario and Pasquale Stockdale. Two years later, Mario became the sole owner and opened another location in Humboldt. It wasn’t until 1980 that Mario started experimenting with frozen pizzas. By 1990, Pasquale’s frozen pizzas became one of the best-selling local frozen pizzas in the state of Iowa.

Today, Pasquale’s employs 12 people and is looking to add more in the near future.
