Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt Superintendent of Schools has been placed on leave.

Humboldt High School Principal, Lori Westhoff, told KHBT News that Humboldt Community School District Superintendent Greg Darling has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending investigation. Westhoff said Darling’s leave is not because of allegations of misconduct against students, misappropriations of fund or any other illegal actions.

School Board President Tate Satern writes “we have turned everything over to our legal counsel and must trust the process”.

KHBT will report additional details when they are made available.
