Humboldt, IA – Possible injuries reported after slick roads cause a pickup to roll in a ditch on Tuesday.

Deputy Kenneth Vorland of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Tuesday, March 10, that Michael McDermott was traveling east on 120th Street when he hit a patch of ice on the road. The ice caused his silver Dodge R15 to slide off the road sideways and end up in a ditch on the north side of the road. The R15 rolled twice before coming to a stop on its top.

The incident resulted severe damages to McDermott’s R15. McDermott reported possible injuries to Deputy Vorland as a result of the incident and was taken to a nearby hospital by his spouse for further evaluation.  No citations were given at the time of the incident.
