Humboldt, IA – Spring cleaning yard waste burning day for the City of Humboldt is still scheduled as planned weather permitting.
Saturday, April 25, is the one day a year that the City of Humboldt has set aside for residents to open burn their yard waste. From 8 am to 6 pm residents will be allowed to burn their yard waste on their own property. All fires must be attended to at all times. A hose must be at the ready in case the first gets out of hand. Burning will not be permitted on city property, including street right of ways.
If the weather is not suitable for open burn the city will not schedule a makeup day per the city code. Additionally there will be brush pick up day on May 4 where residents can leave small yard waste in neat piles to be picked up by the city.
Any questions regarding open burn day or brush pick up can be directed towards Humboldt City Hall at 515-332-3435.
